Minced onions are onions that have been chopped down until they are very fine, about 1/8" or 1/16" in diameter. This is the smallest size without cutting the onions into a pulp or puree. Minced onions can be used in pasta sauces, salsas, home fries, and soups. They can also add flavor to burgers or meatloaf.
